Thursday 7th February– Poynton Library Harry Potter night

Join the library on Thursday 7 February at 6.00-7.30pm for readings from Harry Potter stories, followed by a sorting, a quiz, and a Harry Potter trail. Wizarding robes or fancy dress welcome, but not essential. Suggested age 7-11 years, but all welcome. Free; please book as places are limited.

There will also be a Harry Potter trail around the library during the half term holiday, 16-23 February.

Saturday 16th February – Tatton Park – Scarecrow Festival

Wednesday 20th February – Poynton Library LEGO special

On Wednesday 20 February at 10.00-11.30am the library has a special Magic and Wizardry LEGO Club. £1.00 per child; booking essential.

New to Wednesdays at Poynton Library!

On Wednesday 27 February, Mr Bookstart Bear will be coming to help Poynton Library launch its new weekly Rhymetime, which will be at 2.00-2.30pm on Wednesdays. This is in addition to our Thursday rhymetime at 10.30am.

 

25th-27th October 2019 – The Lowry – Dear Zoo

After a successful debut tour, Dear Zoo the timeless children’s classic book is back on stage for 2019! Rod Campbell’s best-selling lift the flap book has delighted young readers since it was first published in 1982 and has sold 8 million copies worldwide.

This production will delight all those who have read the book (both young and old) as it unfolds with child-engaging puppets, music and lots of audience interaction.
