First Steps would like to share with all families our newly updated Lockdown Policy. We want to reassure parents that we have procedures in place to protect all the children in our care, should the unthinkable occur.
Our Lockdown procedures should be seen as a sensible and proportionate response to any external incident which has the potential to pose a threat to the safety of children and adults in our nursery.
There are several instances this would be required, if the emergency services were aware of a situation in the near vicinity and they put us on lockdown for our own safety, also we may put ourselves on lockdown if we feel there is a situation that is serious enough to permit this.
For our full policy please click here below to download it. We are also soon to have a new ‘Safeguarding’ page on our First Steps website where all policies, documents and advice will be displayed.
Please contact Ian on firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01625 859867 if you have any questions on this.
