At first steps we take the safety and well-being of all our children very seriously and we operate in accordance with the ‘Working together to Safeguard children’ regulations.

We follow a safeguarding policy that guides us to ensure we have clear strategies to follow. All our staff are made aware of our safeguarding procedures when they join us and they all undergo face to face and online training on a regular basis. The safeguarding lead here at First Steps, as well as all other team members, are also trained in advanced safeguarding. We make sure all our First Steps team understand the latest procedures and safeguarding is discussed at all meetings, supervisions and appraisals.
